the north west shelterbox scavenger hunt is open to teams of six cubs, six scouts or six explorer scouts from merseyside, cheshire, west lancashire, east lancashire, cumbria, greater manchester west, greater manchester east, greater manchester north and isle of man scout counties. all cub and scout teams must be accompanied by a responsible adult, explorer scout teams may be accompanied or supervised remotely (the leader must be in the vicinity and in contact with the team). this promises to be a popular event and is available on a first come first served basis. shelterbox provide emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. what's it all about? 2014 saw the first north west region scavenger hunt with over 30 teams taking part in liverpool city centre. initially a london based event that attracted over 100 teams each year and became the flagship event of the partnership between shelterbox and the scout association. 2014 saw the first north west region scavenger hunt with over 30 teams taking part in liverpool city centre. this has built up to 85 teams of cubs, scouts and explorer scouts taking part in 2017, and raising in excess of £4945. to date in total we have raised over £15,480 for shelterbox the objectives of the shelterbox scavenger hunt are to challenge young people to learn more about disasters and disaster relief work, explore the city’s famous landmarks, and increase awareness about shelterbox’s disaster relief work around the world. event information everything you need to know to get involved if you require any further information please email [email protected] when? each team will be charged an entry fee of £25.00 which will cover the costs of hiring venues and purchasing the equipment required to run the event safely and successfully. where? the event will take place on the streets of liverpool city centre, starting and finishing at the black-e centre located at just downhill of the anglican cathedral, on great george street, liverpool l1 5ew, approximately 5 minutes walk from the city centre and next to the chinatown gateway. it is close to lime street station, central station, and several car parks. this is approximately a 15 minute walk to the black-e. there is also on-street pay & display parking around the immediate area. registration - we're full for 2018.... the event is now fully booked for 2018, however the forms are still available below. if you require any further information please email [email protected] registration form a registration form b sponsor form 2018 flyer fundraising taking part in the shelterbox scavenger hunt is a great opportunity to raise some funds for your own cause and for shelterbox. we encourage you to collect some sponsorship for this event and that half of the money you raise goes towards shelterbox (via the event organisers) and the other half goes towards a cause of your choice (this could be a new extension to your hq, a local charity or going on an international expedition) or you could donate all the money to shelterbox. we have designed a sponsorship form for you to use. why shelterbox?
